Business in Ghana, as in many parts of the world, has become more or a less a game of chess. CEO's and managers of companies and corporate organizations now have to come up with different techniques and marketing strategies to outwit their competitors on a daily basis. The Web has become the next frontier in this "chess game" of running a business, as information is easily and readily accessed/exchanged over the Internet.
The Internet presents the greatest advertising-marketing platform known to man, but just as with any other marketing tool, it is "how you use it" that counts. A "well-managed" website provides a wider range of advertising/marketing capabilities with its somewhat limitless scope.
The average consumer wants to be able to get detailed information about goods and services before deciding whether or not to actually make the purchase. The Internet offers you an unlimited variety of ways to present your services to a potential client, more convincingly.
A website is an essential marketing tool, and a must-have for any serious minded 21st century business-person. Gone are the days when owning a website in West-Africa was considered a luxury. With Telecommunications companies such as MTN, GT, Kasapa and Tigo providing affordable Internet Access to consumers, not to mention the numerous Wireless Broadband networks springing up in the country, a higher percentage of the Ghanaian market now spends a lot more time online.
The internet is also a vital tool for Branding- as a greater section of Ghanaian consumers associate it with quality- the general perception being that only a “Big-Time” company would own a website.
This is generally based on the widely perceived cost of developing one-Little do they know that gone are the days when web developers (Yes! I admit, including me), charged somewhere in excess of $2000 for their services. Things have since changed, and with increasing competition in the web development industry, as in many others, prices have to be reviewed in order to stay in business.
Make no mistake about it however, developing your website is only the first step in a series of steps involved in staging an effective online advertising and marketing campaign. Additional processes are required to ensure the visiblility of your website online. Employing the right marketing techniques for your site ensures that your web site is the wisest investment you could ever have made.
Having said all this, it would be bordering on foolishness for anyone to have read this far and still ask the following question- but for the sake of inquisitiveness, do let's;
Why GO WEB ??
